Z - :.<4 - <br />11 January 6th. 1936 ANNUAL MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the-City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the <br />Council Chambers in the City Hall, on January 6th, 1936, et the hour of 7:40 o!clock`•P.: -`Y': for <br />their Annual Meeting.- All members were present except Councilman Goetz. <br />Mayor Freyermuth called the meet-ing-to - order -and stated that it became the duty of the <br />Council to elect officers for the - ensuing year. Councilman Chambers moved that each Councilman <br />make his nomination for president by district. Councilmen Fish seconded the motion. Null <br />nominated Councilman Fish for President. Councilman Chambers moved that the Clerk record a. <br />unaminous vote for Councilman Fish as President of the Council. Whereupon Councilman Fish after <br />being congratulated by ?Mayor Frevermuth took the chair- as- presiding officer. <br />Councilman Chambers moved that each Counciim�n make his nomination for Vice - President -by <br />district. Councilman Hull seconded the motion.- Councilman James was elected Vice- President of <br />the Council by unanimous vote. <br />Each Councilman mode his nomin2tion for Chairm2n-of the Committee of the Whole by district. <br />Councilman Goetz-was elect-6d Chal.rmzn-of the Committee of the Whole -by unanimous - -vote. Council - <br />man James moved that Councilman-Bierwagen conduct-the Committee of the Whole meeting. <br />There being no further - business, Councilman-Hull made a-motion'to adjourn.
