<br />Be it Rememberef that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the
<br />Special Session in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Monday evening September 17th, 1934,
<br />at the hour of 7 :30 o'clock P. M. All members present. President Nelson prealded.

<br />TO THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL-OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
<br />John C. Hiss, Councilman of the Fourth Ward and Stephen C. Grzeskowiak, Councilman of the
<br />Sixth Ward both of the City of South Bend, Indiana, having tendered their -resignations and
<br />resigned as Members of the Common Council of said City. You are hereby notified that a Special
<br />Meeting of the Common Council of said City is hereby called to meet att the hour of 7 :30.01clock
<br />P. M. on Monday evening September 17th, 1934, at its Council Chambers, in the City Hall, said

<br />have occured in the offices of Councilman of the Fourth Ward and Councilman of the Sixth Ward
<br />of said City by the resignations of John C.' Hiss and Stephen C. Grzeskowiak, the duly elected
<br />and qualified Councilmen of said Wards respectively, and that the zz vacancies thus occasioned
<br />will be filled by the Common Council of said City at a Special Meeting thereof, called to meet
<br />at 7:30 o'clock P. M., on Monday evening the 17th day of September, 1934 at its Council Chambers

<br />RESOLUTTIONW.' INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN JULIUS ALTFELD.
<br />RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of South Bend Indiana appoint and it does
<br />hereby appoint Casitier Fiwek, a residence of the Sixth District of said City, to Fill the
<br />Vacancy of Councilman of said District, created by the Resignation of Councilman Stephen
<br />Grzeskowiak of said District, fort the unexpired term of said Office.`
<br />RESOLVED Further that the Commonb0ouncil of said City appoint, and it hereby does appoint
<br />William F. Brennan, a residence of the Fourth District of said City to Fill the vacancy of
<br />Councilman of said District created by the Resignation of Councilman John V C.' Hiss of said
<br />District for the unexpired term of said Office.'
<br />Councilman Altfeld makes• a Motion to adopt said Resolution, Councilman Goetz seconds said
<br />Motion; and Councilman Jaworski makes a Motion to czlose said nominations. Motion carriedp
<br />Resolution dom�.„egd by aclamationg and Casmier Fiwekwas duly elected the Councilman for the
<br />Sixth lax,& /R� Vf tffiam F.' Brennan was duly elected the Councilman for_ the Foxurth District.
<br />On Motion of Councilman Hull the Council adjourned at' 7:40 o'clock Pe M.. Motion carried.
