<br />the members of said Fire Department. Respectfully report that they have examined the matter

<br />Borrowing of the sum of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) from the City Water Works of the
<br />City of 2 South Bend, Indiana, by the Municipal City of South Bend, for its General Fund
<br />and an appropriation of said sum of Four Thousand Dollars (0+000.) to the Finance Department
<br />of said City for the Purpose of Repeairing and Redecorating of the City Hall and Fire
<br />Stations of said City by Civic Works Association. Respectfully report that they have examined
<br />the matter and that in their opinion the said Ordinance should be reported Favorable as
<br />amended by changing the words "Civic Works Association "to Civil Works Administration ".

<br />An Ordinance appropriating the sum of Twenty Thousand Four Hundred axd Eighty ($ -q, &450.
<br />00) from the General Fund of the City of South Bend to the Department of Public Safety
<br />for-its Fire Department for Additional Salaries and Wages for increase in the salaries and
<br />Wages--of the Members of said Fire Department.'
<br />The Ordinance was given its 1i third reading by title, and was placed upon its passage
<br />and passed by the dwmm following vote: Whiteman, Rokop, Goetz, Hull, Jaworski, Altfeld, Hisq
<br />akley, Grzeskowiak, Cripe and Gustin, Ayes 11, Nays 0. Ordinance adopted.

<br />RESOLUTION. INTRODUCTED BY COUNCILMAN GEO. W. 60ETZ.
<br />"WHEREAS, elentless death has invaded the home of our brother, Stephen Grzeskowiak, °°end
<br />taken therefrom his father, John Grzeskowiak; and
<br />"WHEREAS, Our deep sympathy goes out to the family of the deceased.
<br />Now, therefore, be it
<br />"RESOLVED, That we extend unto our brother member and to the deceased's family our
<br />sincere sympathy; and be-it further
<br />"RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be enrolled upon the records of this Body and a
<br />certified copy thereof be sent by the 05ty Clerk unto the members of the deceased's family.
<br />On Motion of Councilman Altfeld the Resolution was adopted. Motion carried.
<br />On Motion of Councilman Rokop the Council adjourned at 5:50 o'clock P. M. Motion carried.
