<br />STATE OF INDIANA CALL='FOR SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
<br />ST. JOSEPH COUNTY SS: COMMON COUNCIL.
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND
<br />TO THE_MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL-OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
<br />You are hereby notified that under -and by virtue of the authority by law vested in us as
<br />Councilmen of the City of South Bend, Indiana, a Special Meeting of the Common Council of
<br />said City is hereby called for 7 :30 o'clock P. M., on Friday evening December 1st, 1933 or
<br />as soon thereafter as convenient for the purpose of Receiving for Third Reading and.taking
<br />action on the following Ordinance, which Ordinance title is as follows:
<br />An Ordinance Establishing Councilmanic Districts in the City of South Bend by.
<br />dividing said City into six such Councilmanic Districts, and fixing -their
<br />Boundaries, and providing for the use of voting Machines in elections for
<br />Nominating and Electing Office'rs'of said City, and Repealing all Ordinances
<br />and parts of Ordinances in Conflict Therewith.

<br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE.
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
<br />Your-Committee of the Whole to whom was referred An Ordinance establishing Councilmanic
<br />Districts in the City of South Bend by dividing said city into six such Councilmanic Distria
<br />and fixing their Boundaries, and providing for the use of voting machines in elections-for
<br />nominatio% and electing officers of said city, and repealing all ordinances and parts of
<br />ordinances in conflict therewith.'
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter, andothat in their opinion the said
<br />Ordinance should be reported Favorable as amended by substituting a re— written Ordinance
<br />including the amendments subomitted & accepted. Jno. C. Hiss, Chairman. The report was
<br />accepted and ordered to be placed on file. Motion carried.
<br />ORDINANCE N0. 3039.
<br />An Ordinance Establishing Councilmanic Districts in the City of South Bend by dividing
<br />said City into six such Councilmanic D- istricts, and fixing their Boundaries, and providingi
<br />for the use of voting Machines in Elections for Nominating and electing officers of. said
<br />Mify, and Repealing all Ordinances and Parts of Ordinances in conflict therewith.
<br />The Ordinance was given its third reading by title, and wasvplaced updn its passage and
<br />passed as amended by the following vote Whiteman, Rokop, Goetz, Jaworski, Altfeld, Hiss and
<br />Grzeskowiak voting Aye, Hull, Oakley, Cripe and Gustin voting Nay. Ayes 7, Nays 4, Ordinance
<br />adopted as amended.
<br />'On Motion of Councilman Jaworski the Council adjourned at 8:40 oV clock P. M. Motion.
