M.' All Members present xcept Councilman <br />Nelson. Vice President Grzeskowiak presided*' <br />STATE OF INDIANA <br />COUNTY OF ST. JOSEPH SS: <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />CALL FOR SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE COMMON COUNCIL. <br />TO THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />You are hereby notified -that under and hy. x1rt_ue _of .authority by law vested in me as <br />Mayor of the City of South Bend,- State of Indiana, a special a meeting of the Common <br />Council of said city is hereby called to meet at the hdur of seventy- thirty 9 o'clock, or <br />as soon thereafter as convenient, Friday evening, September 23, 1932,_for the purpose of <br />taking action for changing back the operation of the city and departments thereof to <br />Central Standard Time*"' <br />Dated this 22nd day of September, <br />n <br />COUNTERSIGNED <br />Gladvs M. INTRODUCED by Jouncilman Julius Altfeld.' <br />STATE OF INDIANA <br />COUNTY OF ST. JOSEPH SS: RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />WHEREAS By resolution adopted by the Common Council oti the 23rd day of <br />April, 1932, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />caused to be advanced the clocks of Municipal offices=, one hour <br />beginning midnight April 24 1932, which in effect placed the <br />City of South Bend under Eastern Standard Time until October 1, <br />1932, and <br />WHEREAS It is now desired that the clocks of the Municipal offices and <br />the city be set back to Central Standard Time beginning at 2 o'clock <br />A.' M.'(Daylight Savings Time) Sunday, September 25t, % 1932; <br />THEREFORE Be it resolved and ordered by the Commom Council of the City <br />of South Bend that from and after the hour of 2 o'clock A*` <br />Eastern Standard Time Sunday, September 25, 1932, otherwise known <br />as Daylight Savings Time, the standard time in the City of <br />South Bend shall henceforth be Central Standard-Time and that at <br />such time the clocks of the Municipal offices shall be set <br />back one hour to conform with Central Standard Time:' <br />!4 <br />Be it further resolved that the resolution of April 23r, 1932, <br />above referred to be and the same is hereby repealed, effecting one <br />A.' M.` Central A.' M.' Central Standard time Sept:' 25th, 1932,' <br />On Motion of Councilman Hull the Resolution was adopted , seconded by Councilman.DMr Goetz.' <br />Councilman Cripe makes a Motion for a Roll call which was seconded and the fail. Resolutioni <br />was p,lazed adopted by the following vote: Whiteman, Rokop, Goetz, Hull, Jaworski, Altfeld, <br />Hiss, Oakley, Grzeskowiak, Cripe and Gustin, Ayes 11, Nays 0.'
