January 11th, 1932. <br />REGULAR, MEETING 0 <br />A-23 <br />MINUTES. <br />�e it Remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, >_.o <br />met in the Regular Session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Monday evening January <br />llth, -1932 at the hour 7 :40 o'clock P' M.' All Members.present except Councilman Whiteman. <br />PresideaoL Nelson presided. The Minutes.of the two prexvious meetings were read and on Motion <br />of Councilman Hull were 'referred to the Committee on the Inspection and Supervision of <br />Minutes. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES. <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend; <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the. Minutes, would respectfully <br />report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and <br />found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same be approved: I.` W.` Cripe, Joseph <br />S. Jaworski, Julius Altfeld, Committee. South Bend, Ind. 'Dec.' 7th, 1931.' The report was <br />accepted.by the Council.' <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES. <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the- inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully <br />report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and <br />found them correct.' The report was <br />accepted by the Council.' <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />An Ordinance Regulating the Operation of Taxicabs.' <br />The Ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second reading in full and on <br />Motion of Councilman Hull was referred to the Committee of the Whole. Motion carried.' <br />for the year 1932 <br />President Nelson next stated that the Standing Committees of the Council /would be <br />themsame as the year 1931'. <br />Mr.` Lewis of the Labor Unions ask that -the Common ouncil take some action in helping <br />men out of.employment to secure work with some compenst besides their food. <br />Counci ;man Oakley makes a motion orally to refer said'subject to the Committee on-Grievances, <br />not carried.' There was a General Discussion.. No action was taken: <br />.On Motion-of-Councilman Hull the Council adjourned at 8;15 o'clock P.' M. Motion _carried.` <br />ATTEST <br />PRESIDENT_ <br />
