ZONING & ANNEXATION CONIlVIITTEE JUNE 23.2008 <br />Committee Members Present: Councilmember's Al "Buddy" Kirsits, Chairperson, <br />Oliver Davis, Vice Chairperson, David Varner <br />Councilmember's Tim Rouse, Kazen White, Derek Dieter, Ann Puzzello; <br />Others Present: Jeff Vitton, Paul Phair, Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, John Voorde <br />BILL N0.08-56 FISCAL PLAN GERMAN TWP. <br />Chairperson Kirsits called the meeting to order at 3:54 p.m. and called upon Jeff Vitton <br />of the Community & Economic Development Department to detail the provisions of the <br />fiscal plan which is attached. <br />After the presentation, Councilmember Oliver Davis made a motion to recommend this <br />bill to the full Council with a favorable recommendation. Councilmember Varner <br />seconded the motion, which was unanimous. <br />BILL N0.18-08 ANNEXATION .85 ACRES IN GERMAN TOWNSHIP <br />Chairperson Kirsits called upon Mark Lyons from the Area Plan Commission to give the <br />APC report. Mr. Lyons noted that the APC sent a unanimous favorable recommendation <br />to Council subject to there being a 24 foot easement for ingress and egress to the property <br />to the north. After the APC report Mr. Bernie Feeney, a registered land surveyor, <br />representing the petitioner was called upon to make a formal presentation. Most <br />importantly he said the petitioner had no objection to the 24 foot easement and also had <br />no objection to sidewalks required by the city. <br />On a motion by Councilmember David Varner, seconded by Councilmember Oliver <br />Davis the bill was sent to Council with a favorable recommendation subject to the above <br />mentioned easement. The vote was unanimous. <br />APC staff report attached. Third Reading will be on July 14, 2008. <br />BILL N0.08-57 FISCAL PLAN AUTEN CONNECTOR <br />Called upon by Chairman Kirsits, Jeff Vitton outlined the fiscal plan for provision of <br />services to an area in German Township for the Auten Connector. <br />On a motion by Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded by Counciimember Varner the <br />bill was sent to the Council with a favorable recommendation. <br />
