ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF.$25,419.00 FROM ACCOUNT NO. 260.0, OTHER CONTRACTUALS, TO ACCOUNT NO. 726.0, OTHER EQUIPMENT, IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,419.00. ALL ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY SPECIAL DISTRIBUTION BUDGET OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY SPECIAL DISTRIBUTION FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: In that certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing budget for the Department of Public Works in the Motor Vehicle Highway Special Distribution Fund, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the original budget for the various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary condi- tions; and In that additional funds are needed for an account within the Depart - ment of Public Works, in the Motor Vehicle Highway Special Distribution Fund, to assure that Department's ability to properly perform its function; and in that a surplus exists in another account of the Department of Public Works in the Motor Vehicle Highway Special Distribution Fund,.which is not presently needed.
