I ORDINANCE NO. d. AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $17,620.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR THE 1978 ETHNIC FESTIVAL, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: The Common Council of the City of South Bend recognizes the importance of ethnic groups in the history of the community and wishes to encourage the promotion of the community's ethnic heritage. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The sum of $171620.00 is hereby appropriated for the year 1978 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly referred to as General Revenue Sharing, for the 1978 Ethnic Festival. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Human Resources and will be distributed as set forth below: PROGRAM FA 148 "1978 ETHNIC FESTIVAL" DESCRIPTION ACCOUNT AMOUNT Other Contractual Services 260.0 $ 17,260.00 TOTAL FA 148 $ 17,260.00 SECTION II.
