ORDINANCE NO. ja353-- `7 k <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $162,320.00 FROM LOCAL <br />ROAD AND STREET - SPECIAL DISTRIBUTION FUND FOR <br />EXTRAORDINARY AND DIRECT COSTS INCURRED AS THE <br />RESULT OF SNOW REMOVAL OPERATIONS DURING 1978, TO <br />BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />In that the 1978 session of the Indiana General Assembly enacted Public <br />Law 58, Acts 1978, creating the Local Road and Street - Special Distribution Fund; <br />and <br />In that certain extraordinary expenses were incurred by the Bureau of <br />Streets of the Department of Public Works during the winter storms of 1978; and <br />In that additional funds are needed to assure the Department's ability to <br />properly perform its functions, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA: <br />SECTION I: That the sum of $162,320.00 be appropriated from the 1978 Local <br />Road and Street - Special Distribution Fund.
