ORDINANCE NO. L g 3 q- 7 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $45,000.00 FROM THE <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUND FOR <br />ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL COSTS, TO BE <br />ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH <br />ITS DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND BUREAU <br />OF SUBSTANDARD BUILDINGS. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />The Bureau of Substandard Buildings will conduct, during the <br />course of Program Year 1978, several project activities including the <br />Community Development Demolition Program and the Community Development <br />Code Enforcement Program. In order to effectively and efficiently execute <br />these project activities, additional administration and personnel funds <br />will be required. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $45,000.00 is hereby appropriated for <br />the program year starting July 7, 1978, from the City of South Bend's <br />Community Development Block Grant Fund (Program Year 1978). The appropriation <br />shall be used within the boundaries of the Community Development "Neighborhood <br />Strategy Areas" and the Housing Assistance Plan area as approved by the <br />United States Department of Housing and Urban Development under Title <br />Twenty -Four (24), Code of Federal Regulations, Part Five Hundred and Seventy <br />(570) for the Community Development Program Year 1978. The appropriation <br />shall be administered by the Division of Community Development and the <br />Bureau of Substandard Buildings. <br />PROGRAM -CD -78 -301 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM <br />PURPOSE AMOUNT <br />Administrative Support <br />Personnel Costs $39,488.00 <br />Non - Personnel Costs 5,512.00 <br />TOTAL: $45,000.00 <br />SECTION II.
