LaMar Wilson <br />Assistant Director <br />M E M O R A N D U M <br />TO: Members of the Common Council <br />FROM: Carl Ellison W <br />SUBJECT: 4th Year Community Development <br />General Administration Budget <br />DATE: August 9, 1978 <br />• II 3 <br />O •. rn <br />V y <br />wbaf00'A <br />1440 County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />219/284 -9335 <br />The attached ordinance seeks the appropriation <br />of $338,900 for 4th Year Community Development <br />Administration. <br />This proposed budget: 1) reflects our cost <br />experience over the past year; 2) takes into account <br />anticipated staff expenditures because of grantsman- <br />ship opportunities likely to result from the imple- <br />mentation of President Carter's Urban Policy; and <br />3) takes into account further reorganization of <br />Community Development staff. <br />To facilitate your review of our proposed budget, <br />there is attached as Appendix I a summary of major <br />line items. <br />We believe this budget represents minimum costs <br />necessary to preserve the high quality of our Community <br />Development Program. <br />
