<br />South Bend Animal Care and Control Special Committee <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />Thursday, July 25, 2013 <br />5:30 pm <br />Presiding: Valerie Schey, Chairperson <br /> <br /> <br />Members present: Valerie Schey, Becky Kaiser, Kelly Pickell, Dr. Mariah Covey, Pam Comer, Linda Candler, <br />Pam Wesolowski, Aaron Blight, Shubhada Kambli and Matt Harmon <br /> <br />Others present: Ernest Galos, Melissa Fruscione, Kathy Cekanski, John Voorde, Anne Reel, Linda Guyer, <br />William Sykes, Linda Zack, Cecil Eastman and Patricia Trinka <br /> <br />Summary: <br />1.Welcomed new committee members Kambli and Harmon. <br /> <br />2.Provided summary of our last meeting. <br /> <br />3.Distributed sections that have been amended as a result of prior committee meetings. <br /> <br />4.Requested that the Department of Code and Department of Administration and Finance provide a cost <br /> <br />–benefit analysis of fees and fines proposed in Section 91.003. Committee will review said information <br />when available. <br />5.Reviewed and amended sections 91.015 through 91.020. <br /> <br />6.Requested legal review of sections 91.021 through 91.023. <br /> <br />7.Will receive recommendation on these sections at next SBACC Committee meeting. <br /> <br />8.Provided committee members with a copy of the National Animal Interest Alliance’s, “Responding to <br /> <br />the data: a guide to constructing successful pet friendly ordinances”. <br /> <br />Next Committee Meeting: <br />The regular meeting of the South Bend Animal Care and Control Special Committee is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., <br />August 8, 2013 <br /> <br />Adjournment: <br />There being no further business to come before the South Bend Animal Care and Control Special Committee <br />the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 pm on July 25, 2013. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Valerie Schey, Chairperson <br /> <br />-Signature on file - <br /> <br />
