REGULAR MEETING December 12, 1967 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Council Chambers in <br />City Hall on Tuesday, December 12, 1967 at 12:17 A.M., with all members present except Councilman Muszynski. <br />The meeting was called to order by President John L. Hunter, Jr., who presided. <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT: Councilmen Hunter, Allen, Palmer, Wise, Geib, Szymkowiak, <br />Laven and Smith <br />ABSENT: Councilman Muszynski <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes would respectfully report that they have <br />examined the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. Palmer <br />Meeting of November 27, 1967 <br />There being no objections, the report was accepted and placed on file. <br />PETITION <br />I, the undersigned, do hereby respectfully make application and petition the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend to amend the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana as hereinafter requested, and in <br />support of this application, the following facts are shown: <br />1. The property sought to be rezoned is located at the Southwest corner of the intersection of Jefferson <br />Boulevard and Eddy Street being: 194.79 feet East and West along the South line of Jefferson Blvd. <br />and 185 feet North and South along the West line of Eddy Street. <br />2. The property is owned by 1149 Corporation, an Indiana corporation, 628 Sherland Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />3. A legal description of the property is as follows: <br />A part of Large Lot 20 as shown on the recorded Plat of Samuel L. Cothell's First Addition to <br />the Town of Lowell, now the City of South Bend, which part is bounded as follows: <br />Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Lot No. 20; thence West on the South line of Jefferson <br />Boulevard a distance of One Hundred Ninety -four and Seventy -nine hundredths (194.79) feet; thence <br />South on a line parallel with the West line of Eddy Street a distance of One Hundred Eighty -five <br />(185) feet; thence East on aline parallel with the South line of Eddy Street a distance of One Hundred <br />Ninety -four and Fifty -three Hundredths (194.53) feet to the West line of Eddy Street; thence North along <br />the West line of Eddy street a distance of One Hundred Eighty -five (185) feet to the place of beginning. <br />4. It is desired and requested that the foregoing property be rezoned: <br />From B Residential Use and C Height and Area District. <br />To C Commercial Use and A Height and Area District. <br />5.
