COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING May 8, 1967 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the <br />Whole in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, May 8, 1967 at 8 :00 P.M., with all members present. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Edwin Thomas Smith, who presided. <br />Chairman Smith introduced Reverend Charles Rowlett, Pilgrim Baptist Church, who gave the invocation. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION <br />TO ACCOUNT K -72, "EQUIPMENT," IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $500.00 AND THE TRANSFER IN THE SAME AMOUNT <br />FROM ACCOUNT K -26, "OTHER CONTRACTUAL SERVICES ", <br />IN THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM BUDGET ALL BEING <br />IN THE GENERAL FUND. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents <br />were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in favor of the Ordinance was Mr. A. E. Tovey, <br />Manager of the Morris Civic Auditorium. Councilman Geib made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being-ho further business to come_before:,lthe'Committee of the Whole, Councilman Geib made a motion <br />to rise and report to the Council.
