438 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, April 24, 1967 at 8:00 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Edwin T. Smith, who presided. Chairman Smith welcomed students from a Civics class at John Adams High School, who were attending the meeting as part of their studies in City Government. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 40 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, 1962, AS AMENDED, ALSO KNOWN AS ORDINANCE NO. 3702, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS AMENDED (Location: East side of York Rd 1237.25 feet South of the center line of Jackson Rd. and commonly known as Southeast Estates) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were givan an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION TO ACCOUNT XX25, "REPAIRS OF EQUIPMENT" IN THE AMOUNT OF '95,000.00 AND THE TRANSFER IN THE SAME FROM ACCOUNT XX72, "MOTOR EQUIPMENT" IN THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT ALL BEING IN THE GENERAL'" FUND. This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in favor of the Ordinance was'City Engineer, Mr. Lloyd Taylor. Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Allen made a motion to rise and report to the Council.
