am <br />REGULAR NRETTNG — — _-- DECEMBER JZ, -1966 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Council Chambers of City Hall <br />in Regular Session, Monday, December 12, 1966 at 8:21 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Muszynski, <br />who was ill. The meeting was called to order by President John L. Hunter, Jr., who presided. <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT: Councilmen Hunter, Allen, Palmer, Wise, Geib, <br />Szymkowiak, Laven and Smith <br />ABSENT: Councilman Muszynski <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have examined <br />the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. Palmer <br />Meeting of November 28, 1966 <br />There being no objections, the report was accepted as read and placed on file. <br />PETITION. <br />We, the undersigned, do hereby respectfully make application and petition the Common Council of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana to amend the zoning Ordinance of the City of.South Bend Indiana, as hereinafter requested, and <br />in support of this application, the following facts are shown: ) <br />1. The property sought to be rezoned is located at the southwest corner of U.S. 31 (Michigan Street) and Angela <br />Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana. <br />2. The property is owned by American Realty of 'South Bend, Inc. <br />3. A legal description of the property is as follows: <br />Lot numbered Twenty -three (23) EXCEPTING a strip of land 11 feet in width, taken off of and from the entire <br />East side of said lot; also all of Lots Numbered Twenty -four (24), Twenty -five (25) and Twenty -six (26), all <br />as shown on the recorded Plat of Leeper's Second Addition to the City of South Bend recorded in Plat Book 11, page <br />153; also all of Lots Numbered Twenty -seven (27), Twenty -eight (28), Twenty -nine (29) and Thirty (30), EXCEPTING <br />.a strip of land 3 feet in width, taken off of and from the entire East side of Lot Numbered 30, all as shown on <br />the revised plat of Lots numbered Twenty -seven (27) to Thirty -three (33), both inclusive, in Leeper's Second <br />Addition to the City of South Bend recorded in Plat Book 14, Page L; also vacated alley North of Pokagon Street <br />from Michigan Street to alley West of Michigan Street, and vacated alley West of Michigan Street from Pokagon <br />Street to Angela Avenue. <br />4. It is desired and requested that the foregoing property be rezoned: <br />From B Residential Use and B Height and Area District <br />To C -1 Commercial Use and C Height and Area District. <br />5. It is proposed that the property will be put to the following use and the following building will be constructed: <br />Branch Bank Building 40 feet by 64 feet, together with adjacent parking <br />6. Number of off street parking spaces to be provided: Thirty -eight (38) <br />7.
