I <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole <br />in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, November 14, 1966 at 8:00 P.M. All members were present <br />except Councilman Laven. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Edwin Thomas Smith, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 40, SECTION 40 -14 OF THE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, 1962, ALSO KNOWN AS <br />ORDINANCE NUMBER 3702, ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ON THE 14th DAY OF OCTOBER, 1963, <br />AND KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. <br />(Location: Bounded by Western Ave., Scott Street, N.Y. Central <br />Railroad & Laurel St.) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were <br />given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Mr. L. Glenn Barbe,Assistarit Director of Urban Redevelopment answered <br />questions concerning the exact boundaries of the land._ Councilman Geib made a motion for a recess. Councilman <br />Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried. Time: 8 :10 P.M. Reconvened 8:15 P.M. Councilman Hunter made <br />a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Chairman Smith instructed the members to <br />rise and report to the Council.
