r <br />ORDINANCE, THIRD READING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4897 -66 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC. 40 OF THE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA OF 1962, <br />MORE SPECIFICALLY KNOWN AS ORDINANCE NO. 4608 -63 <br />ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND ON OCTOBER 14, 1963, AND COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. (Location: 3004 Edison <br />Rd. between Rockne Dr., and Brummi.tt Lane) <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes (Councilmen Allen, <br />Palmer, Geib, Szymkowiak, Laven, Smith and Muszynski) 2 nays (Councilmen Hunter and Wise) <br />ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 40, SECTION 40 -14 <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, 1962, ALSO KNOWN AS ORDINANCE NUMBER <br />3702, ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ON THE 14th DAY OF <br />OCTOBER, 1963, AND KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Smith made <br />a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on November 14, 1966. Councilman Wise seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 140 -66 <br />RESOLUTION FOR TRANSFER IN THE PARK GENERAL <br />FUND -- $300.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME <br />FROM ONE ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER IN THE SAME CATEGORY <br />OF THE PARK GENERAL FUND <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing <br />annual budget, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual <br />budget for the various functions of the Department of Public Parks to meet such extraordinary emergencies, <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, it has been ascertained that certain accounts in the Park General Fund have more money than <br />is needed at this time. <br />Section I. That the following accounts be reduced in the the amounts set opposite said accounts: <br />Acct. No. Classification <br />52 Current Charges <br />53 Current Charges <br />Item Amount <br />Rents $100.00 <br />Refunds, Awards & <br />Indemnities 200.00 <br />Total $300.00 <br />Section II. That the following account be increased in the amount set opposite said account: <br />Acct. No. Classification <br />57 Current Charges <br />Item <br />Amount <br />Taxes (Gross Income) $300.00 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of South Bend that the sum of $300.00 be <br />transferred from Account #52 and Account $53 to Account #57 as set out above in Sections T and II of <br />this resolution. <br />That the transfer of funds as set forth in Section I and Section II are required for the proper <br />and efficient operation and function of the Department of Public Parks of South Bend, Indiana and an <br />extraordinary emergency is declared to exist concerning the foregoing transfer. <br />/s/ John L. Hunter, Jr. <br />Member of the Common Council <br />James Seitz, Secretary of the Park Board spoke in favor of the Ordinance. Councilman Laven made a <br />motion that the Resolution be adopted.by a roll call vote. Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. The Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of 9 ayes (Councilmen Hunter, Allen, Palmer, <br />Wise, Geib, Szymkowiak, Laven, Smith and Muszynski) 0 nays. <br />
