E <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING AUGUST 29 1966 <br />Councilman Geib made a motion to reduce T -13 "Extra and Overtime" in the Traffic-Department from $17,695 to <br />$15,695. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Allen made a motion to reduce the "Subscription and Dues" amount in the Human Relations and Fair <br />Employment Practices Commission budget from $275 to $115. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Hunter made a motion that the Ordinance, as amended, go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING REVENUE TO MEET THE NECESSARY <br />EXPENSE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1967. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the amount of tax levy for the <br />General Fund be reduced from $2.10 to $2.027. Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman <br />Hunter then made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council favorable, as amended. Councilman Laven seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Chairman Smith instructed the members of the <br />committee to rise and report to the Council.
