ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,600.00 FROM THE <br />SURPLUS IN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND TO <br />ACCT. MVH 726 -OTHER EQUIPMENT <br />APRIL 11, 1966 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and opponents <br />were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Miss Virginia Guthrie Executive Secretary of the Civic <br />Planning Association inquired as to the -wuseuofither , fuids -:_ Councilman Allen explained that there was <br />a need for trash receptacles in the downtown area. Councilman Laven made a motion that the Ordinance <br />go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION II OF CHAPTER <br />26 OF ORDINANCE NO. 4608 -63, BEING THE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, 1962, <br />RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BEING PROHIBITED <br />IN CERTAIN PLACES, AND SUBSTITUTING NEW SECTIONS <br />IN LIEU OF THOSEREPEALED. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and opponents <br />were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Allen explained the need for the Ordinance. <br />Councilman Allen made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman <br />Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Chairman Smith instructed members <br />of the Committee of the Whole, to rise and report to the Council.
