REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />August 17, 1965 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />Auuu51 L3 1707 <br />The attached petition of the Crest Manor Development Corporation to annex to the City of South Bend <br />Indiana 4.47 acres of land in the North one--half of Section 31.. T37N R3E which tract is situated <br />approximately one - fourth of a mile south of Jackson Road in the vicinity of York Road as the same will <br />be extended southward from Jackson Road was Legally advertised under date of July 26. 1965 and given <br />public hearing on August 5, 1965.. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that. in their opinion, the six determinates <br />of annexation apply to the area at issue. Seconded by Councilman Palmer, Car <br />RLH: cf_ <br />attach. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />August 18, 1965 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the Common Council to annex to the City of South Bend, Indiana approximately <br />54 acres on the west side of Miami Road and Jackson Road, commonly known as the Jackson School property <br />was considered at the August 5, 1965 meeting of the Commission. The f ollowing action was z ken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that, in their opinion, the six <br />determinates of annexation apply to the area at issue. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE FIRST & SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS <br />(Four and one -half Acre Tract, Centre Township, Quarter mile south of Jackson <br />Road near York Road) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Geib made <br />a motion that the ordinance be set for a public hearing on September 27th, 1965. Councilman Palmer <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried, <br />ORDINANCE, FIRST & SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS <br />(commonly known as Jackson School property) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full, Councilman Geib made <br />a motion that the ordinance be set for a public hearing on September 27th, 1965. Councilman <br />Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE, FIRST & SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 4, CHAPTER 1.6 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BEING ORDINANCE 4329 AND REPEALING PORTIONS <br />THEREOF. <br />(Removal of weeds) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full, Councilman Szymkowiak <br />made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on September 27th, 1965, Councilman Geib <br />seconded the motion.
