85 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 27, 1965 REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: April 27, 1965 Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $76,401.17 FROM THE BARRETT LAW FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND ". Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the C ouncil as favorable. /s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To-.the Common Council of the City of South Bend: April 27, 1965 Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS TO THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT ACCOUNTS XX263, XX71, XX722, AND XX73 IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $34,500.00 ". (26.6 acres, more or less, East of Miami Road, South of Ireland Road, North of Jackson Road, and contiguous with the present city limits on the north and east sides) The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 5 ayes - 2 nays - 2 absent (Councilmen Geib and Glass). ORDINANCE NO. 4743 - -65 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS AMENDED, WHICH ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. (Tract of land having a frontage of 125 feet on Hickory Road and a depth of 200 feet) The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 2 absent (Councilmen Geib and Glass). ORDINANCE N0, 4744 - -65 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEND CITY WATER WORKS AND JAMES B. CLOW & SONS, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF CAST IRON WATER MAIN PIPES AND FITTINGS IN THE SUM OF $72,385.00. The ordinance was,given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 2 absent (Councilmen Geib and Glass). ORDINANCE NO. 4745 - -65 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEND CITY WATER WORKS AND THE ADVANCE CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., FOR TWO 16 -INCH INSERTING VALVES, THREE 6 -INCH INSERTING VALVES, TWO 8 -INCH INSERTING VALVES AND TWO 47INCH INSERTING VALVES IN THE SUM OF $99071.00. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 2 absent (Councilmen Geib and Glass).
