6ONMTTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING:' <br />AUGUST 24, 1964 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole <br />in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, August 24, 1964, at 8 :05 P.M., with all members present <br />except Councilman Wise. The meeting was called to order by Councilman Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman, who <br />presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($2,500.00) TO THE CITY <br />CEMETERIES DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A.TRUCK; <br />SAID ($2,500.00) TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT N -12 <br />INTO ACCOUNT N -722, ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that this ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($500.00) TO THE OFFICE <br />OF THE -CITY CLERK FOR THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL <br />POSTAGE TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT C -362 INTO <br />ACCOUNT C -212, ALL IN.THE GENERAL FUND. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that this ordinance go to the.Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($1500.00) TO THE ELECTRICAL <br />DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE-OF A TRUCK; SAID ($1500.00) <br />TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT V -37 INTO ACCOUNT V -722,. <br />ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND. <br />This being the time heretofore set"for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that this ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to adjourn. <br />Councilman Hunter seconded the motion.
