58 <br />1 <br />Be it remembered that the Committee of the Whole met in the Council Chambers in the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />on Monday, May 25, 1964, at 8:00 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to 6rder by Mr. Edwin <br />T. Smith, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3702, AS AMENDED <br />(4 Acres bounded by Hamilton, Fremont, Meade Sts. and <br />Marquette Blvd.) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in opposition to the proposed Ordinance were the following: Mr. <br />and Mrs. Roman Guentert, 1606 N. Fremont St., Mr. William Brihley, 2119 Portage Ave., and Mr. Jerome Lukas, 2019 <br />Bergan St. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman <br />Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />3- MINUTE RECESS - 8:45 P.M. <br />Councilman Glass made a motion for a three minute recess. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />RECONVENED - MEETING - 8:50 P.M. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS-OF <br />SOUTR BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS. <br />(30 Acre tract at Miami and Jackson Roads) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Councilman Geib made a motion that the Ordinance be referred to the Ordinance <br />Committee for further study. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Glass made a motion to adjourn. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion.
