WHOLE <br />MAY 11, 1964 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, met in the Committee of the Whole in the <br />Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, May 11, 1964, at 8 :00 P.M., with all members present except <br />Councilman Glass. The meeting was called to order by Councilman Edwin T. Smith, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($50,000.00) TO THE STREET DEPARTMENT <br />IN THE PURCHASE OF STREET AND ALLEY MATERIALS; SAID ($50,000.00) <br />TO BE A TRANSFER FROM FUND S -12 INTO FUND S -421. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were <br />given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS <br />IN MUNICIPAL BONDS OF 1961 - $19,465.28 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were <br />given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Palmer made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS <br />IN THE SANITATION FUND - $1,077.55 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were <br />given an opportunity to be heard'thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE 1960 <br />GENERAL STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND -- $1,523.63 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were <br />given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN SEWAGE <br />DISPOSAL FUND -- $58,993.21 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were <br />given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion'. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Hunter made a motion to adjourn. <br />Councilman Allen seconded the motion.
