REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 27 1964 <br />ORDINANCE N0, 4625 - - -64 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEND <br />CITY WATER WORKS AND THE IAYNE- NORTHERN CO. INC., FOR THE <br />FURNISHING OF MATERIALS AND LABOR FOR CERTAIN WELLS PUMPS$ <br />CHLORINATION EQUIPMENT, REMODELING OF GARAGE, ELECTRICAL <br />WORK$ PIPING, REMOVAL OF PUMPS AND SEALING OF WELLR FOR <br />THE SUM OF $87,140.00. <br />Vi <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Smith made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays - <br />1 absent (Councilman Palmer). <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent (Councilman <br />Palmer). <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Councilman Smith made a motion to accept the Annual Report of the Park Department. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />A suggestion was made that Council meetings begin at 7 :30 P.M. instead of 8:00 P.M. Councilman Smith made a <br />motion to keep the present 8 :00 P.M. starting time. Councilman Szymkowi.ak seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />President Hunter asked Councilman Allen to make a further study of the advisability of changing to an earlier <br />starting time. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to adjourn.
