COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />JULY 22, 1963 <br />577 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in the <br />Council Chambers in the City Hall, on Monday, July 22, 1963, at 8 :18 P.M., with all members present except Councilman <br />Tellson. The meeting was called to order by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3702 (The north 12 feet of Lot 154 in Horne and Dunn's 1st Sub.) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />The next three items on the agenda refer to land in the same area, the same being Lots 1, 2, 3, 19, 20 and 21 of <br />Lincoln Plaza, and the President asked the Members of the Council for their approval to treat the three Ordinances <br />as one during the public hearing. It was agreeable with the Council and the Attorney representing the petitioners. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3702 (Lots 1, 2, 3, 19, 20 and 21 in Lincoln Plaza) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing , proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be <br />heard thereon. Speaking in favor of the proposed Ordinance was Edward Olczak, Attorney for petitioners. <br />Mrs. LeRoy Allen, 125 West Marion Street asked what use was being proposed for said land. Speaking in opposition <br />to the proposed ordinances were "George Frepan, 1415 North Chicago Street; Casimer Manuszak, 3711 Lincolnway West; <br />Earl Hartman, 1414 North Sheridan; Roman Kominkiewicz, 3719 Lincolnway West; Stephanie Zrobek, 1504 North Sheridan; <br />Mrs. Robert Class, 1604 North Sheridan; Mrs. Henry Matve, 1421 North Chicago: Mr. Olczak spoke in rebuttal. <br />Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinances go to the Council as unfavorable. Councilman Kroll seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3702 (Land bounded by Sheridan, Gladstone, Ford and Sample) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, _proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to bb- heard "thereon:. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3702 (Land bounded by Edison, Lombardy Drive, Sample and Meadow Lane) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3702 (Land bounded by Summit Drive, MayflowerScenic Drive and Mayfair Place) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorab <br />Councilman Krueper seconded the motion. Motion carded. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to <br />ajourn. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion.
