Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Special session in the Council
<br />Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, July 15, 1963, at 7:07 P..M., with all members present except Councilmen Tellson
<br />and Glass.
<br />The Clerk read the call for Special Meeting, which reads as follows:

<br />CALL FOR SPECIAL MEETING
<br />To the President of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />Gentlemen:
<br />You'are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority vested in me by law as Mayor of the City of South
<br />Bend, in the State of Indiana, a Special Meeting of the Common Council of said City is hereby called to meet in
<br />the Council Chambers, in the City Hall at the hour of 7:00 P.M., on Monday, July 15, 1963, for the purpose of acting
<br />upon the following:
<br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA, FOR THE YEAR 1964
<br />The Chief of Police or any member of the Police Force is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this notice
<br />on each and every member of the Common Council and make due return of such service of said Special Meeting.

<br />Councilman Lehman made a motion that the Call.for Special Meeting be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Coleman)
<br />seconded the motion. Motion carried.
<br />ROLL CALL
<br />PRESENT: Councilmen Kroll, Allen, Ladewski, Coleman, Kruep.er, Lehman and Muszynski.
<br />ABSENT: Councilmen Tellson and Glass.
<br />COMMUNICATION
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />I, the undersigned, Frank J. Bruggner, Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as required by Chapter 107 of the
<br />Acts of 1959, hereby fix the maximum salaries for the herein named appointed officers and employees of the City of
<br />South Bene, Indiana, beginning January 1, 1964, and continuing thereafter until duly changed, as per:attached'-
<br />grdinance,:.- and.,request.that such maximum salaries be approved by the Common Council.

<br />Councilman Lehman made a motion that the Communication be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Coleman seconded
<br />the motion. .Motion carried.
<br />ORDINANCE
<br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
<br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE YEAR 1964
<br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Lehman made a motion that the
<br />Ordinance be set for public hearing on July 29, 1963. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Special Meeting of the Council, Councilman Lehman made a motion to
<br />adjourn. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Special Meeting of the Common Council adjourn
<br />at 7:26 P.M.
