7 <br />REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />July 1, 1963 <br />The Honorable Common Council, <br />City of South Bend, <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of Joseph Muia to rezone from "B" Residential Use and "E" Height and Area District to "C" <br />Commercial Use and "E" Height and Area District the north 12 feet of lot 154 of Horne and Dunn's lst Sub., lying <br />parallel to and being 132 feet, more or less, south of Mishawaka Avenue and having frontage on the west right -of- <br />way line of 27th Street was legally advertised under date of June 17, 1963 and given public hearing on June 27, <br />1963. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found the requested zoning to be the most reasonable zoning for the subject <br />property. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorably <br />to the Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />/s/ Robert L. Seconded by Councilman Glass. <br />Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />July 1, 1963 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, ;Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petitions of Danny Balint, Joseph Sipocz, and Endre Vadas to rezone from "A -1" Residential Use and <br />"A" Height and Area District to "C" Commercial Use and "A" Height and Area District Lots 1, 2, 3, 19, 20 and 21 <br />of Lincoln Plaza, being generally described as the lots between Sheridan A venue and Chicago Street and having <br />frontage on Lincolnway West were legally advertised under date of June 17, 1963 and given public hearing on June <br />27, 1963. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the rezoning of subject property would constitute spot zoning. It <br />would in addition be an unwarranted intrusion into a residential area; that there was ample commercial zoning in <br />the vicinity; that the lots in question could be developed residentially as attested by the surrounding residences. <br />It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petitions be recommended unfavorably to the <br />Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />/s/ Robert L. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />July 1, 1963 <br />The Honorable Common Council, <br />City'of South Bend, <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to rezone from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area <br />District to "A" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District the property generally described as bounded on <br />the east by Sheridan Street, on the west -by the first north -south alley west of Gladstone Street, on the north by <br />Ford Street andon the south by Sample Street to Albert Street-and the first east -west alley north of Sample Street <br />between Albert Street and Sheridan Avenue was legally advertised under date of June 17, 1963 and given public heari <br />on June 27, 1963. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the best zoning for the subject property would be "A" Residential <br />and "A" Height and Area District.
