COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />JUNE 10, 1963 <br />565 <br />Be it remembered that on the 10th day of June, 1963, in the absence of Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman of the <br />Committee of the Whole, President Joseph T. Kroll opened the meeting and appointed Councilman Harold Coleman to <br />act as Chairman of the Committee of the Whole meeting. Councilman Coleman called the meeting to order at 8:05 P.M. <br />All members were present except Councilmen Tellson, Lehman and Muszynski. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND ON THE 14th day of JUNE, 1949, COMMONLY KNOWN <br />AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA - <br />(Land at the southwest corner of Twyckenham and Lincolnway East) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, the Chairman asked if anyone wished <br />to be heard. Councilman Ladewski moved that the public hearing be continued until July 8, 1963. Councilman Allen <br />seconded the motion. Discussion followed and Mr. Ladewski withdrew his motion and Mr. Allen withdrew his second <br />to the motion. Mr. Russell Fisher, Attorney for the petitioners, requested that the hearing be continued until <br />July 8, 1963. He. statedi-, that<hg wag = -Mat ing.,this, >requestz.because,of th.erdbsence of the fifth district Councilman <br />in whose district this property is located. Mr. Norman Kopec, Attorney for the remonstrators, was heard. <br />Councilman Krueper made a motion that the public hearing be continued until July 8th, 1963. Councilman Allen <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE OFFICE OF THE CONTROLLER, <br />$1,000.00; AND THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM FUND, $214.05 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Mr. Edwin Davies, City Controller, explained the requests for appropriations. <br />Miss Virginia Guthrie, Civic Planning Association, was heard. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance <br />go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Ladewski seconded the.motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn. <br />Councilman Allen seconded the motion.
