Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in <br />the Council Chambers on Monday, May 13, 1963, at 8:03 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Tellson. <br />The Meeting was called to order by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE,NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS AMENDED <br />(Relative to procedure of Amendments) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. After some discussion among the Councilmen, Councilman Allen made a motion that the <br />public hearing be set over until the next meeting of the Council, May 27, 1963. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion, <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ZONING A NEWLY ANNEXED TRACT OF LAND IN THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Crest Manor) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. There being no one wishing to be heard, Councilman Kroll made a motion that the <br />Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Lots 1 -60 in City View Place) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Allen made a motion to exclude Lots 23 and 24 and the south forty (40) <br />feet of Lots 25, 26 and 27. Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried.. There being no one wishing <br />to be heard, Councilman Krueper made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable as amended. Council- <br />man Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPEFJ MT6tING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Land bounded by Bendix Drive, Ryer, Lincolnway West and Ardmore Trail) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. There being no one wishing to be heard, Councilman Kt6ll made a motion that the <br />Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Northeast and southwest corners of Bryan and Sherman) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. There being no one wishing to -be heard, Councilman Ladewski made a motion that the <br />Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINAL E <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Land having frontage on Brentwood Court and bounded on the north <br />by Lincolnway West) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. There being no one wishing to be heard, Councilman Kroll made a motion that the <br />Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Land bounded by Calvert, Kendall, Ewing and Kemble) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. There being no one wishing to be heard, Councilman Kroll made a motion that the <br />Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NNO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS AMENDED <br />(Section 17 -A) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the abbe Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Allen made a motion that the public hearing be set over until the next <br />meeting of the Council, May 27, 1963. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE STREET AND <br />TRAFFIC FUND, IN THE SUM OF $16,400.00 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard. Speaking in favor of the Ordinance was Dan Richardson, Street Commissioner. Miss Virginia <br />Guthrie, Civic Planning Association also spoke. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn. <br />
