520 <br />ORGANIZATION MEETING <br />JANUARY 7, 1963 <br />Be it r0membered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Council Chambers in the <br />City Hall on Monday, January 7, 1963, at 7:39 P.M., with all members present. The meeting waa called to order by <br />Mayor Frank J. Bruggner, who stated that he was calling the meeting to order as provided in Article IL, Section 21, <br />of Chapter 2 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Kroll, Allen, Ladewski, Tellson, Coleman, Glass, Krueper, Lehman and Muszynski. <br />Mayor Bruggner asked for nominations for the office of President of the Common Council.- <br />Couuncilman Muszynski made a motion to nominate Joseph T. Kroll for President of the Common Council. <br />Councilman Lehman Seconded the motion. Councilman Glass m6ved that the nominations be closed. Councilman Ladewski <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Ladewski moved that the Clerk be instructed to cast a unanimous <br />ballot for Mr. Kroll for President of the Common Council. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Bruggner congratulated Mr. Kroll upon his election and presented him with the gavel. <br />President Kroll then presided. He thanked the Councilmen for their cooperation during the preceding year and asked <br />for their continued support. <br />Councilman Lehman nominated Councilman Tellson for Vice President of the Council. Councilman Glass seconded the <br />motion. Councilman Glass moved that the nominations be closed. Councilman Seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Lehman moved that the Clerk be instructed to cast a unanimous ballot for Councilman Tellson for Vice <br />President. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Lehman made a motion to adjourn. Councilman <br />Allen seconded the motion.
