W6 <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 26, 1962 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in <br />the Council Chambers on Monday, November 26, 1962, at 8:13 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called <br />to order by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4381 - - -61 COMMONLY KNOWN <br />AS THE BUILDING CODE FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT AND OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK $13,400.00 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Chief Harmon explained the items under the Police Department; Chief Andrzejewski <br />explained the items under the Fire Department and Mrs. Freda G. Noble, City Clerk, explained her request for transfer <br />of monies. Councilman Lehman made a motion to delete the word "fund!' wherever it appears in the title. Councilman <br />Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Ladewski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />The Chairman announced that the Committee of the Whole had met prior to the meeting and wished to report the Elec- <br />trical Inspection Ordinance out of committee favorable, as amended, and set it for public hearing at the next meet- <br />ing (December 10, 1962). <br />Also, the Resolution concerning presentation of Resolutions which had been in the Committee of the Whole, was dis- <br />cussed in the Committee of the Whole, and reported favorable. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion.
