COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />OCTOBER -•8. 1962 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiaia, met in the Committee of the Whole in <br />the Council Chambers on Monday, October 8, 1962, at 8:10 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to <br />order by Chairman T. W. Lehman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4381 - - -61 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE BUILDING CODE FOR THE <br />CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />This Ordinance having been in the Committee of the Whole for consideration is now, upon motion by Councilman Kroll <br />and seconded by Councilman Coleman, and unanimously carried, brought out of the Committee of the Whole and set for <br />public hearing on October 22, 1962. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, (Linden Street <br />be}ween O'Brien and Brookfield) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Ladewski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable <br />Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ONE MILLION ($1,000,000.00) <br />DOLLARS FOR STREET, BRIDGE AND SEWER CONSTRUCTION <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Those speaking were Mrs. Frederick Mutzl, 320 Parkovash; J. Merlin Guthrie, 315 <br />North Scott Street; Ray Andrysiak, City Engineer. <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS_ IN THE FAIR EMPPOYMENT PRACTICES COMMISSION <br />FUND - $30.63 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable, <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE OFFICE OF THE CONTROLLER AND THE <br />SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT FUND - $1,200.00 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion that the <br />Committee of the Whole Meeting adjourn. Councilman Glass seconded the motion.
