J 0 i' <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 24, 1962 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in the <br />Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, September 24, 1962, at 8:09 P.M., with all members present. The meeting <br />was called to order by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(North side of Linden between Wilber and WAlnut) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking against the proposed Ordinance were Herbert Barham, 1423 Linden and <br />Paul D. Clark, 1321 Linden Avenue. A communication was read by the Clerk from Mr. Barham and Mr. Clark protesting <br />the rezoning. Mr. Kerestery, 1501 Linden Avenue also remonstrated. <br />Councilman Allen made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as unfavorable. Councilman Glass seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (Jackson Road between Miami and Ireland) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking against the proposed Ordinance was Howard Neitch, 18866 Jackson Road. <br />Those also heard speaking in favor of the Ordinance were Andrew Place, and' Alph- Newman Councilman Krupper made a <br />motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Florence Street between Brookfield and College) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />CERTAIN LANDS (Maple Lane School) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Krueper made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to <br />adjourn. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion.
