SPECIAL MEETING July 30, 1962 463 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in special Session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, July 30, 1062 at 8:15 P.M. with all members present except one. The meeting was called to order by President Joseph T. Kroll, who presided. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmen Kroll, Allen, Ladewski, Tellson, Coleman, Glass, Krueper and Muszynski ORDINANCE ABSENT: Councilmon,Lehman AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF ALL BUDGET - OPERATED DEPARTMENTS OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1963, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1963, INCLUDING DEPARTMENTS, FUNDS. AND COMMISSIONS FOR WHICH MONEY IS APPROPRIATED, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, FROM FUNDS OTHER THAN THE GENERAL",:FUNDS OF SAID CITY, TO -WIT: STREET, TRAFFIC AND PARK DEPARTMENTS, FIREMEN'S PENSION _AND POLICEMEN'S PENSION FUNDS, AND THE CITY PLAN -.AND URBAN REDEVELOPMENT AND FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE COMMISSIONS, BUILDING DEMOLITION, REPAIR AND CONTINGENT.FUND, PARK DISTRICT FUND, GENERAL SINKING FUND, HOSPITAL FUND, ART ASSOCIATION FUND AND THE URBAN REDEVELOPMENT BOND FUND: PROVIDING THAT SUCH APP- ROPRIATIONS SHALL INCLUDE ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS: FIRING THE SALARIES OF ALL CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES, REPEALING_ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: PROVIDING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the ordinance be for public hearing on August 27, 1962, and that there be legal publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Record on August 3rd and August 10th, 1962. Councilman Glass Seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 1963 FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Krueper made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on August 27, 1962, and that there be legal publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Record on August 3rd andAugust 10th, 1962. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Ladewski made a motion to adjourn. Council- man Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Special Meeting of the Common Council adjourned at 8:33 P.M.
