4 .I <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />JULY 23, 1962 <br />r l <br />kAMAM <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in t <br />Council Chambers on Monday, July 23, 1962, at 8 :07 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to order <br />by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Cherry Street) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in favor of the proposed ordinance was Howard Warren, 1632 Linden Avenue, <br />Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Birdsell Street) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion to amend the Ordinance to read "A" Residential Use <br />instead of "B" Residential Use, Councilman Ktiieper seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable, as amended. Councilman Kroll <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING- ORDINANCE <br />NO. 37020 AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Nalnut Street) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion to amend the Ordinance to read "A" Residential Use <br />instead of "B" Residential Use. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Coleman made a motion'that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable, as amended; Councilman: Kroll <br />seconded the motion. Notion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />_l <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, ADOPTED BY THE COMMON <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND ON THE 14th DAY OF JUNE, 19491, <br />COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA (Lincelaway, Allen and Lindsey) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in favor of the proposed Ordinance was Russell Fisher, Attorney, repre- <br />senting the petitioners, Speaking against the proposed Ordinance were Frederick 0. Reith, 713 North Allen Street <br />and W. C. Smith, 1039 Lincolaway West, <br />Councilman Alien made -a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE <br />AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED ( Chippewa and Gertrude Street) <br />Trio "being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Cpuncilmad Kf*ll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Musaynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (52.6 acres at Edison and Hickory) <br />Councilman Allen made a motion for a five minute recess. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />and the Committee of the Whole recessed at 9:02 P.M. <br />The Committee of the Whole reconvened at 9:08 P.M. <br />Councilman Allen made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Ladewski seconded the <br />motion. Motion cartied. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn. <br />Councilman Glass seconded the motion.
