COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING MAY 28, 1962 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, May 28, 1962, at 8:10 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Muszynski. The meeting was called to order by Councilman T. 14. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Northwest corner of Edison and Ironwood) 437 The public hearing on the above Ordinance having been continued from the May 14th, 1962, meeting of the Council, the Chairman' °gave proponents and opponents an opportunity to be heard. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance be. returned to the City Planning Commission with the recommendation that the subject property be zoned "C -1 ". Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman Muszynski). ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Land on Ironwood north of Edison) The: public hearing on the above Ordinance having been continued from the May 14th, 1962, meeting of the Council, the Chairman gave proponents and opponents an opportunity to be heard. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as unfavorable. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Land north of Edison and West of Ironwood) The public hearing on the above Ordinance having been continued from the May 14th, 1962, meeting of the Council, the Chairman gave proponents and opponents an opportunity to be heard. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (93.8 Acres south of the Toll Road between Portage and Maple) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Krueper made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried.. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, (Southwest corner of Miami and Ireland) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (5 acres along Maple Road) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED. AND SUPPLEMENTED (109 acres at Maple and Lathrop) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion.
