406 <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 12, 1962 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in <br />the Council Chambers on Monday, March 12, 1962, at 8:05 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to <br />order by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL OF LAND SUBDIVISION AND THE APPROVAL <br />OF PLAT AND REPLAT OF LAND WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE SOUTH <br />BEND CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION AND REPEAL- <br />ING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Ray.Andrysiak, City Engineer made some suggestions as did Richard Albright, <br />728 Marquette Avenue. <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance be referred to the Ordinance Committee for further study. Council <br />Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3913 (AS AMENDED) (Electrical Inspection) <br />The publich hearing on this Ordinance was continued from the February 26, 1962, meeting of the Council. Councilman <br />Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance be continued in the Committee of the Whole. Coumcilman Krueper seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (2 acres of land on Edison east of Ironwood) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Allen made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE <br />AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (The block bounded by Wayne, Scott, Taylor and Western <br />except the northwest corner) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. - <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to <br />adjourn. Councilman Krueper seconded the motion.
