REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />February 9, 1962 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the Tri Valley Council, Inc., Boy Scouts of America and the Indiana and Michigan Electric <br />Company to annex to the City of South Bend, Indiana a parcel of land being bounded on the south by Douglas Road <br />(also known as Lathrop Avenue), on the west by Maple Road, on the North by the present city limits extended west <br />(also known as the east -west centerline of Section 27, T38 N, R2E), and on the east by the present city limits <br />containing approximately 114 acres was legally advertised under date of January 23, 1962 and given public hearing on <br />February 1, 1962. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the six determinants'of annexation exist. It <br />was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended <br />favorably to the Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />/s/ Robert L. Councilman Glass seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />February 9, 1962 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend . <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to rezone a parcel of land generally described as all but <br />the northwest corner of the block bounded on the north by Wayne Street, on the east by Taylor Street, on the* <br />south by Western Avenue, and on the west by Scott Street from "D" Light Industrial Use and "E" Height and Area <br />Districts to "B" Residential Use and "B" Height and Area District.was legally advertised under date of January 22, <br />1962 and given public hearing on February 1, 1962. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found <br />the petition. It was therefore duly moved, <br />recommended favorably to the Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />/s/ Robert L. Huff <br />Robert L. Huff <br />Director of Planning <br />that substantial justice would be done by the gtanting of <br />seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be <br />RLH /mah <br />Attachs. <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Glass seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />February 9, 1962 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to zone the recently annexed land being more generally descr <br />as being a parcel of land 305 feet north and south•by 154 feet east and west at the southeast corner of Ironwood <br />Road and Roosevelt Street "C" Commercial Use and "A" Height and Area District was legally advertised under date <br />of January 22, 1962 and given public hearing on February 1, 1962. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that this is the most logical zoning for said area and <br />that substantial justice would be done by the granting of the petition. It was therefore duly moved, <br />seconded and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorably to the Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />/s/ Robert L.
