COMMUNICATION To the Honorable Frank J. Bruggner, Mayor To the Members of the Common Council of'the City of South Bend: Dear Gentlemen: I wish to extend to each of you my sincere appreciation for the magnificent expression of sympathy embodied in the Resolution,passed by the Common Council, honoring my dear brother Paul M. Butler. This document will be treasured by me as a precious recognition of his many years of active association in public affairs, and serve as a handsome legacy for me and other members of his grieving family. PETITITIONS Petition to annex 52.6 acres of land on Edison West of Hickory Road. Councilman Lehman made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. Petition to annex 1.4 acres of land on Lilac Road South of Darden Road. Councilman Lehman made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried.- Petition to annex 38.9 acres of land, being a triangular piece of land between the Pennsylvania Railroad tracks and the City Limits between Ireland Road and Chippewa. Councilman Glass made a motion that the petitition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Petition to annex .6 acres of land in Wilmette Park. Councilman:Muszynski made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. Petition to annex 5 acres of land on Dunn Road. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. Petition to annex 213 acres of land along Gertrude Street south of Rum Village Park. Councilman Lehman made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. Petition to annex 39 acres of land on Jackson Road West of Ironwood Road. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. ANNUAL REPORT OF PARK DEPARTMENT Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Annual Report of the Park Department be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3913 (AS AMENDED) (Electrical Inspection), Respectfully report that they have examined.the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE CONTINUED UNTIL THE MEETING OF MARCH 12, 1962. /s/ T.
