COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING REGULAR MEETING ORDINANCE NOVEMBER 27, 1961 AN ORDINANCE-TO REGULATE THE BUSINESS OF INSTALLING AND SERVICING TELEVISION EQUIPMENT IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND; TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF THIS ORDINANCE: AND TO PROVIDE A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE TERMS THEREOF, AS AMENDED. 375 This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in favor of the proposed Ordinance were the following: Roman Korpal, Paul Schwertley, Bill Davis, Julius Erdelyi, John Frick and Russ Bills. Speaking against the proposed Ordinance were Edward Fiwek, John Dutrieux, and Rich Kirkman. Councilman Glass and Councilman Coleman were also heard. Councilman Allen made a motion for a five minute recess. Councilman Krueper seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole Meeting recessed at 9:12 P.M. Committee of the Whole Meeting reconvened at 9 :26 P.M. Councilman Glass made a motion to amend Section--5.2 --FEES, by striking T. V. Technician $25.00 and inserting T.V. Technician $10.00; and by striking T. V. Antenna Installer $15.00 and inserting T. V. Installer $10.00. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable, as amended. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Krueper seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole Meeting adjourned at 9 :27 P.M. ATTEST: CLERK APPROVED: CHAIRMAN
