REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 23, 1961 <br />RM <br />WHEREAS, the more than 1200 members of Pulaski Post 357, The American Legion, including its Past Commanders Council, <br />whose Post Home is located at 1606 Western Avenue, do fear that this condition will become much worse and result in <br />traffic mishaps which could lead to serious injury or possible fatality. <br />THEREFORE, we the members of Pulaski Post 357, have authorized the undersigned to hereby petition the Honorable City <br />Council and the City Traffic Engineer to intercedefor us to the Highway Engineer of the great State of Indiana, to <br />remedy this hazard through the installation and operation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Western Avenue <br />(State Route 2) and Kosciuszko Street, as soon as is possible. <br />PULASKI POST 357, THE AMERICAN LEGION <br />by /s/ Leonard T. Nowinski, Adjutant <br />Councilman Coleman made a motion that the petition be referred to the Traffic Engineer for appropriate action, and <br />thata' copy be submitted to the Board of Public Works and Safety so they can give the Traffic Engineer authority to <br />proceed. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Lehman made a motim to adjourn. Councilman <br />Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Regular Meeting of the Common Council adjourned at 9:02 P.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />APPROVED: <br />CLERK / / ! PRESIDENT <br />
