PETITION Petition of Place and Company to annex land on Jackson Road east of Miami. Councilman Glass made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF ORDINANCE COMMITTEE Councilman Allen, Chairman of the Ordinance Committee, reported that they had met in Committee to study the revised Television Ordinance. He recommended that the revised verstion of the Original Television Ordinance be withdrawn and a new Ordinance be introduced and set for public hearing. After some discussion, Councilman Krueper moved that the report be accepted but any action on a new Ordinance be delayed until the next meeting. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF TRAFFIC ENGINEER Members of the Common Council City Hall South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: October 9, 1961 At the regular meeting of the Common Council on September 25, 1961, this department was directed to investigate a complaint reference damage to Vine Street one -half block west of its intersection with 20th Street. The Complaint signed by Matthew and Anna Zangerle, 1001 So. 20th St., states that damage to the street was done by construction equipment used during the building of Indiana University Extension Center on Northside Boulevard. Investigation shows that a dust problem will result with use of the parking lot. I conferred with officials at the lndtana University Center and have, also written to Indiana University at Bloomington, Indiana.
