COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 25, 1961 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole, on <br />Monday, September 25, 1961, at 8:06 P. M., with all members present. The meeting was called to order by Councilman <br />T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Eddy Street <br />between Sorin and Campeau), AS AMENDED <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard. Councilman Allen made a motion that the Ordinance be held in Committee until the next <br />regular meeting of the Council on October 9, 1961. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Northeast corner of Bendix Drive and Crumstown Avenue) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Mr. Milton Kouroubetis was heard. Councilman Kroll made a motion to table the <br />Ordinance. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS <br />(Broadmoor Swimming Pool, Inc.) <br />This being the time heretofore set fore- public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking against the Ordinance was Charles Evans. Speaking in favor,of the Ordinan <br />was Mr. F. Gerard Feeney, Attorney, representing the petititoners. Councilman Allen made a motion that the Otdinance <br />go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Krueper seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #3702, ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />ON THE 13th DAY OF JUNE, 1949 (West side of Olive Street North of <br />Lincolnway West) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Mr. George Eichler, Attorney for petitioners, was heard. Councilman Coleman made <br />a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. There followed <br />some discussion and Councilman Coleman withdrew his motion. Councilman Kroll withdrew his second to the motion. <br />Councilman Coleman then made a motion to table the Ordinance until the next regular meeting of the Council on <br />October 9, 1961. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to <br />adjourn. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion.
