331 <br />COMMITTEE OF_TH <br />Be it remembered that the Committee of the Whole oL.the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in <br />the Council Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, July 24, 1961, at 8:06 P.M., with all members present except Councilman <br />Lehman. The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Dorothy G. Scheer, Deputy City Clerk, in the absence of :Councilman <br />Lehman. Councilman Kroll moved that Councilman Ladewski be named Acting Chairman of the Committee of the Whole. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Ladewski then took the chair and proceeded <br />with the business before the Committee of the Whole. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3702 (Hickory Road North of McKinley) <br />This�.being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in favor of the proposed Ordinance was Mr. Nicholas P. Cholis, Attom ey <br />for petitioners. He also stated that Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dockery, petitioners, would, in the future, execute <br />a joint easement of right -of -way to the Elks Club on to Hickory Road at the Northern end of said real estate. <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3702 (Hickory Road North of McKinley) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Since the Ordinance was a companion Ordinance to the Ordinance above, no one was <br />heard. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen second <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS <br />(NE CORNER IRONWOOD DRIVE AND EDISON ROAD) <br />(11 acres more or less) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Mr. Richard J. McDonald, attorney for petitioners, was heard. Councilman Kroll <br />made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to <br />adjourn. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion.
