C <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 22, 1961 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in the <br />Council Chambers on Monday, May 22, 1961, at 8:12 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to order by <br />Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA (REAL ESTATE INVOLVED LOCATED ON <br />WILLIAMS STREET, NAVARRE STREET, PORTAGE AVENUE) <br />Mr. Louis Anderson, Attorney for petition prayed leave to withdraw the Ordinance. Councilman Coleman made a motion <br />that the Ordinance be withdrawn. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A LEASE ENTERED INTO BY AND <br />BETWEEN THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS.THE "LESSOR" AND SOUTH <br />BEND SCREW PRODUCTS, INC., HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO <br />AS THE "LESSEE" FOR THE PREMISES DESCRIBED AS: THAT <br />PORTION OF EAST WASHINGTON STREET IN THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, EXTENDING FROM THE ST. JOSEPH <br />RIVER ON THE WEST TO THE EAST RACE ON THE EAST <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Coleman made a motion to adjc <br />Councilman Kroll seconded the motion.
