REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE.OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702,' COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, (REAL ESTATE INVOLVED LOCATED ON WILLIAMS STREET, NAVARRE <br />STREET, PORTAGE AVENUE), Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD <br />BE CONTINUED IN THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE FOR TWO WEEKS. <br />/s/ T. Upon roll call of 5 nays, (Councilmen Ladewski, Tellson, Coleman, Kruer and`A'Iuszyns 1), 4 ay&SV Rion <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes, 2 nays (Councilmen Allen and Glass). <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING - ORDINANCE (South Bend Avenue <br />between Burns and Duey) <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and lost by a roll call vote oa 8 nays, 1 aye (Councilman Allen). <br />REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indianan <br />Gentlemen: <br />April 17, 1961 <br />The undersigned hereby petitions your honorable body to amend Section "4 -A" of Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, (as <br />amended), commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana by the addition thereto of the <br />following:(6) self- service laundry establishments, provided: <br />1. Said use is located on a lot adjoining a major thoroughfare as designated by the Major Thoroughfare Plat for <br />the City of South Bend. <br />2. Illuminated signs shall not have source of light visible nor project intermittent or flashing lights. <br />3. One improved off - street parking space shall be provided on the same lot as the principal building for every <br />three principal operating machines. <br />4.
