REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE.OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702,' COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, (REAL ESTATE INVOLVED LOCATED ON WILLIAMS STREET, NAVARRE STREET, PORTAGE AVENUE), Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE CONTINUED IN THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE FOR TWO WEEKS. /s/ T. REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indianan Gentlemen: April 17, 1961 The undersigned hereby petitions your honorable body to amend Section "4 -A" of Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, (as amended), commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana by the addition thereto of the following:(6) self- service laundry establishments, provided: 1. Said use is located on a lot adjoining a major thoroughfare as designated by the Major Thoroughfare Plat for the City of South Bend. 2. Illuminated signs shall not have source of light visible nor project intermittent or flashing lights. 3. One improved off - street parking space shall be provided on the same lot as the principal building for every three principal operating machines. 4. Before the issuance of a building permit the proposed parking area and all proposed improvements thereto shall be submitted to the Board for approval,-and the same shall be subject to any reasonable conditions that the Board may impose. /s/ Chester Muszynski Chester Muszynski Councilman Lehman made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file.
