3,343.62
$65,700.00
$59,375.00
We repaired and /or replaced 453 water services in 1960. For the three year period of our program 1400 repairs and /or
replacements have been effected.
Due to material and labor cost increases and 10% more new services installed, the cost average per job increased from
$117.00 to $125.00.
We estimate the number of service leaks for 1961 to be 467. This is based on the three year average that the program
has operated.
We would suggest to you, as a result of three years of operation, that the existing ordinance be amended in the
following particulars:
1. Limitation of length of pipe insured.
2. Limit the repair and /or replacement of service lines to between th hours of 8 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Mondays
through Fridays.
We would be happy to elaborate more fully at any time convenient to the Mayor and /or the Common Council.
In conclusion, we wish to advise that our experience at this time would show that no increase in the rate for _1961 is
necessary.
Respectfully submitted,
